Overview:
I have worked in various educational settings (e.g., elementary, high school and university) and can relate well to all age groups. I began working in the lab in July (08). I am currently involved in working primarily with the electroencephalograph and behavioral parts of the lab (although I plan to pursue fMRI research as well). My broad interests are to study the developmental changes of the human brain, primarily related to attention training. I am currently involved in studying the development of oscillatory patterns across varying age groups and clinical groups. I am also interested in the refractoriness of auditory ERP's following various stimuli presentations and ISI's. This research is essential for better understanding auditory information processing. In both of these projects I plan to study how certain genes influence or hinder certain aspects of cognition and other behavioral measures.
Interests:
I enjoy being active (e.g., mountain biking, hiking, hunting, fishing, snowboarding, etc.) and spending time with my spouse (Trisha) and dogs.
