Rarely do ERP experiments involve persuasive ERP story books, toy cars, and Kermit the frog impressions...ERP testing of the 3 to 5 year old demographic is certainly unique... That's life in the Brain Development Lab.
Currently, I manage ERP testing of children for the Brain Development Lab's ongoing Head Start intervention study. When not testing children, I'm interested in the development of selective auditory attention networks. I spend a great deal of time looking at auditory attention ERPs from children whose parents are receiving specialized parent training.
Also, I'm working on various aviation human factors studies, such as blood/glucose levels and deterioration of decision-making abilities. In the near future, I'm hoping to look at pilots brain EEG during cockpit instrument reading tasks.
